This weekend we were busy. On Saturday we were riding the Tour de Troit. It was a glorious ride- warm weather, sun shining, and lots and lots of riders- 10,000 riders in all!
View of Detroit from Belle Isle. The Tour de Troit is a SAG supported ride of 26 miles with police escort. We rode along the Detroit River, over the bridge to Belle Isle, and rode down many city streets as we took over Motown on bikes.
Interesting art work on random buildings through out Detroit.
After the bike ride we stopped by the new Little Caesars Arena! It looks amazing and we can't wait to see a concert, hockey game or basketball game in the beautiful facility. The arena cost $862.9 million to construct and will house both the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Pistons. Detroit is looking like it really is coming back!
Saturday night found us in downtown Utica for the 2nd annual Food Truck Rally. There were so many people out and about. We met friends and had dinner at the Shamrock Pub- too hot to eat out doors for us. We did end up going back to the park to listen to the live bands. Had a wonderful time with this group of friends.
On Sunday we stuck around the house and cleared out flower beds, dusted and vacuumed, and started to decorate for fall. This is the fall entry table for now :)
